Patch Note [Beta 7]
PvP Arena Screens
TDM, FFA, Team Mixed and Guild Siege now share one new set of screens: a live score banner, a kill feed, a mini ranking, a full scoreboard and a results screen that shows what you earned.
What changes today
- NewA score banner shows the timer, the scores and who is leading, and your own stat strip shows your points, kills, deaths, ratio and rank. Lives are now shown as a number.
- NewA kill feed sits just above the chat and a mini ranking under the navigator (top 5, plus your own line if you are lower). The new Show PvP kill feed option turns the feed off.
- NewThe banner, the kill feed and the mini ranking can be dragged anywhere; their position is saved, and a double-click puts them back.
- NewHold the key under Esc (`) for the full scoreboard, or click the banner to pin it open.
- NewFFA: a ranking with a podium and a My stats tab: damage dealt and taken, kill streaks, your victims, who killed you and the Deathmarks you can expect.
- NewTeam Mixed and Guild Siege: the mini ranking shows the top 5 teams or guilds and the top 10 players of the whole match. Siege boards add kills, deaths and streaks for every guild and player, with a kill feed tab.
- NewAt the end, a results screen shows the winner, the MVP, your match and your rewards (hover a reward to see the item). Every Guild Siege fighter now gets one too, also when a siege is cancelled.
PvP
- ChangedTDM now gives points: 2 per kill and 1 per assist (damage dealt to the victim in the 10 seconds before the kill). The team with the most kills still wins; the MVP is the player with the most points.
- ChangedTDM: each player now has 10 lives (was 15).
- NewTDM rewards: the losing team now gets Deathmarks x2 per member, and the MVP bonus is now Deathmarks x2 (was x1); the winning team keeps x5. A team reward needs at least one kill.
- ChangedGuild Siege: fighters who join during Preparation now wait on the platform, and everyone enters the arena together when Combat starts.
- FixedTeam Mixed: an eliminated player can no longer revive in place on the arena floor; they now go to the observer platform.
- FixedNPC buffs work again during a PvP Preset match.
Combat & Skills
- ChangedSeveral attack skills hit harder; many other skills got smaller adjustments at some levels:
Class Skills Blade Silent Strike, Armor Penetrate, Cross Strike Ranger Poison Arrow, Silent Arrow, Triple shot; Aimed Shot and Silent Shot when a Ranger casts them Billposter Belial Smashing, Blood Fist, Sonichand - ChangedAsalraalaikum and Penya Strike no longer deal reduced damage to monsters.
- ChangedAether Grasp now has a 7-second cooldown (was 2 seconds).
- ChangedPvP damage was fine-tuned for some classes at some levels.
- ChangedThe Buff Pet now casts the Ringmaster buffs (Protect, Holyguard, Spirit Fortune, Geburah Tiphreth) only when you or a nearby Ringmaster knows them, at that Ringmaster's skill level.
- ChangedA monster's Spike Stone now affects you for only a few seconds, and monsters cast Disenchant less often.
- FixedProtection now tells you that you need a shield instead of a generic wrong-item message.
- FixedDead Man's Lure now taunts the target and nearby monsters like Templar's Call; it only dealt damage.
- FixedCounterattack: the stance no longer freezes on its last frame, and the counter now triggers on melee hits (it rarely fired).
- FixedA failed Disenchant now tells you that the target resisted.
Dungeons & Rift
- NewParty dungeons on Normal and Hard: you can bring up to 3 characters from the same PC. Each character pays its own energy, but your PC energy is charged only once per run, and your PC counts as one player for the run rewards and the boss loot.
- FixedA party member could land in a separate Solo copy of the dungeon (monsters with Solo HP) while the HUD still showed the party run.
- FixedThe Dungeon Ranking now records Normal and Hard clears by any party (they were missing), and a run that was never finished no longer posts a time.
- FixedA party without a name now appears in the Dungeon Ranking as "<Leader>'s party" with its own row, and its run details now show damage, tanking and healing (they were empty).
- ChangedInfernal Tower: the next wave starts as soon as the last one is cleared, with no pause, and monsters now spawn closer to you.
- FixedThe Infernal Tower wave timer starts at 00:00 instead of jumping to about 00:11.
- FixedThe Infernal Tower floor malus now shows in your buff bar with its own icon and name, without a meaningless timer.
- ChangedEntering the Training Grounds or the Infernal Tower while mounted now dismounts you instead of refusing.
- ChangedDungeon difficulty retuned: regular monsters, mid-bosses and bosses now each have their own HP and damage, so bosses hit much harder than their escort. On Hard your damage is no longer halved, but monsters are tougher and move faster.
- ChangedInside dungeons, DEX now gives less melee block.
- ChangedBeing higher level than a dungeon's boss no longer lowers your damage there.
- ChangedOn Hard, more bosses now switch targets during the fight, Clockworks included.
- ChangedNew minimum GearScore, and the Ancient Chamber now opens from level 120 (was 130):
Dungeon Level GearScore Before The Wilds 128-150 1850 1480 Catacombs of Anguish 128-150 1850 1480 Valley of Xius Mists 128-150 1850 1480 Ancient Chamber 120-150 1850 1480 Ankou's Asylum 150 2450 1760 Kalgas Cave 150 2450 1760 - NewAncient Chamber: the entrance now closes 5 minutes after the dungeon opens (warnings at 60 and 30 seconds). Until then its guardians cannot be hurt; then their HP scales with the number of players inside, and only those players can re-enter.
- ChangedBoss patterns reworked: a boss never uses the same attack twice in a row; [God of Death] Ankou now raises Warding Pylons that shield him until they fall, shown as beams and a golden glow instead of a bubble; Red Meteonyker gains a Meteor that needs two players to soak; Clockworks, Beast King Khan, Drakul the Diabolic, [Deathbringer] Kheldor and Nayshea have new or retuned attacks.
- FixedKalgas Cave on Hard: the Meteor no longer kills the players who soak it outright.
- NewNew loot roll window: one compact card per item with Need / Greed / Pass, a Pass all button, a tag for your class and the live votes. A vote now lasts 20 seconds (was 30) and ends as soon as everyone has voted, an open roll comes back after a relog, and when everyone passes the item goes to a participant drawn at random instead of the party leader.
- NewRun rewards: Ankou's Asylum gives an Ankou's Box (one of Ankou's weapons) after 12 runs, Kalgas Cave a Kalgas Box (one Kalgas armor piece) after 9 runs.
- New[God of Death] Ankou now drops Ankou's Soul and Nayshea drops Nayshea's Tear, materials that will be needed to upgrade artifacts. Ankou no longer drops K Fang.
- ChangedPenya drops of many dungeon and high-level monsters were rebalanced by rank: most mid-bosses and bosses now drop more penya.
- NewInfernal Tower traps on floors 1-100: spike grids, frost wind (slows your movement, attacks or casting), fire lines that set you burning, geysers and weapon rain, each marked on the floor just before it strikes. Stand on a Purifying Altar to clear frost; altars move after use. In guild runs, Repelling and Shared Marks make you spread out or group up.
- ChangedInfernal Tower waves bring more monsters, sometimes a stronger one, and monsters hit harder.
- NewRift: once hit, a totem calls regular monsters around itself every few seconds, until it is destroyed or left alone.
- NewTraining Grounds: the Buffs tab now has two checklists, Pang buffs and Ringmaster buffs, to pick each buff on its own, and the Upcut Stone can now be simulated.
- ChangedArena of the Gods rewards changed, with no penya any more:
Place Rewards 1st VIP Scroll 500, Activity Book 50 x6, Azure Shard x3 2nd VIP Scroll 100 x3, Activity Book 50 x4, Azure Shard x2 3rd VIP Scroll 100 x2, Activity Book 50 x2, Azure Shard x1 Wave 3+ VIP Scroll 100, Activity Book 50

- NewThe job change scroll now converts many more rings, earrings and necklaces to your new job's version, such as Vigor Ring, Demol Earring, Gore Necklace and the Strente rings.

- FixedSafe Upgrade fees can now be paid with perins when your penya alone is not enough.
- NewNew Recycling window: filter by category, sort, search, fill a basket and recycle it all with one confirmation. It shows the dust each item gives, your Activity Points left today and the full item tooltip.

Its title shows how many are open.

- ChangedThe tutorial step that gives a Scroll of Awakening now also gives a Scroll of Reversion.
Interface

- ChangedAlt+click a monster, Check drops now opens a new drops window, also used when you look up which monsters drop an item.

A Graphics preset (Low / Medium / High) sets every graphics option at once, and anisotropic filtering now really works.
- NewOptions: the Shortcuts page shows keys as keycaps and warns when a key is already used; the Notifications page groups every message by category, with all on / all off; each page can be reset on its own.
- FixedSome options did not stick: your fullscreen resolution, the extra taskbars and a few others are now saved.
